Incorrect description as "MINT" so be aware of sellers that do this bait-and-switch type of listing. Compare the photos in the listing with these (worn buttons and scuffed base plate) to show the listing is clearly not the same body. Shutter count alone over 32,000 constitutes "Near Mint". Sellers will then ask the item be returned "damaged" so as to claim insurance costs and then sell the camera again.

For us long time Nikon shooters, this camera is a treat!

I am a Nikon system user; have been since the mid-seventies. I own several late model Nikon DSLR cameras, and many old school Nikkor lenses that I can use on this great Nikon Df. I'm still learning the ropes on this (for me) new camera and I'm amazed at its potentials. Most of my work is in the genre of fine arts photography, generally people pictures, so I look forward to what I'll come up with using this machine. You ask if it is easy to use...yes and no. I have a lot of experience with Nikon DSLR cameras, but still need to consult the manual on occasion. Could be that I'm old and analog, but it seems to me that every digital camera has its own personality and requires some getting acquainted time. The Df is a brilliant compromise, or should I say 'collaboration' between old school film ...

  • Old School and New Tech In One Camera

If you liked the old-school SLR film cameras, you will probably like the Nikon Df DSLR camera. Most settings can be made from buttons and dials. With lenses that have an aperture ring, you can set ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speed from dials, even before you turn the camera on. Yet, you do have two user dials, and that big beautiful screen like digital cameras. I use Nikon AF-D series lenses, so that I can set exposure before turning on the camera. I get autofocus which is faster than I could focus manually, and manual exposure based on my experience and depth-of-field preferences by pre-setting the dials. And the images will fill your screen or make gorgeous prints as big as a poster if you want. I bought mine used, so I can't even gripe about the price. Get one, while they ...

  • Splendid camera, if not for everyone

I have owned a number of Nikon DSLRs. They are all quite good. The Df is my personal favorite. I still shoot film and process my own, but that just isn’t very practical. There is also the issue of shooting in low light. The Df is a camera that isn’t too terribly different to shoot with than my F2s and has splendid low light performance. The files are beautiful and make excellent prints, but still aren’t too big. I never shoot video so I don’t miss the feature. I’m now on my second Df. I was using a D500 for a while and though it is an excellent camera I’m glad to be back to full frame and the Df feels like an old friend to me.

  • It's a DSLR for film shooters.

Buying this high quality camera used is a good value for someone looking to get serious with their photography. The 16MP sensor is still useful today. It's good for photographers migrating from film because the control layout will already be familiar. It is a good DSLR for anyone with legacy Nikkor glass because it will work with anything going back to pre-ai lenses.

  • Old style Outside High technology internally

This camera is light small and fast. For me is perfect. Is so intuitive I can shoot around fast. I do not miss the built in flash. iso control in my finger all time If anything i miss shutter speed 1/8000. If You are an old school picture taker who doesn't care about video and you have full manual setting You like this camera very much.
