  • Tells you exactly what its like!

Eric Haney does an incredible job in this book of bringing you there and filling you in on all the details of the training and operations of an elite unit Delta Force. He gives you the necassary background and history of Delta Force and himself. Throughout the book he tells true stories of what it was like in different historical events from the veiw of an operative. From Beirut to Panama to different hostage situations he tells the plan and the execution of different situations. He also begins by telling what the training and requirements were like. Just an incredible feat to be such an elite member. Highly recommend this book to any one involved in or curious about our elite operations forces!

  • Excellent View of US Army DELTA FORCE

An excellent first-hand account of the selection process and training required to become a member of the US Army's Delta Force. Having been through alot of similar training as an Army Airborne Infantryman, Haney's descriptions are spot-on in this non-fiction book. The TV series "The Unit" is based on this book, and I believe Haney is a consultant to the series' developers. Obviously, Haney cannot go into depth of missions because of national security concerns. "IT IS A PAGE-TURNER."

  • GREAT INSIGHT OF AMERICA's ELITE GROUP

GREAT BOOK AND WELL TOLD BY THE AUTHOR. GIVES IN SIGHT OF THE TRAINING AND ONSET OF AMERICA'S FINEST GROUPS. THE AUTHOR GIVES THE READER THE ON HANDS VIEW OF THE HARDSHIPS AND HISTORY. THE PART OF WHICH HE GIVES DETAILS OF THE AIRPLANE PUMP PUTS THE READER IN THE AIRCRAFT WITH HIM. THE MANY PEOPLE THE AUTHOR TELLS ABOUT GIVES ME THE FEELING OF SOMEHOW KNOWING EACH ONE. THIS BOOK IS A MUST FOR THE MILITARY READER.

  • The men I'm proud to have on our side

This book was very good. Its an inside account of the Special Forces team known as Delta Squad or the Unit! Operators take on roles of Secret Service agents, marines, CIA Agents, snipers, etc. They are truly the best of the best and I'm frankly glad to have them on our side.
