      Adams chronicles about one of America’s earliest prominent political families

      This classic mini-series is about the Adams family from Massachusetts It covers from 1770 through the WWI it’s very entertaining and if you like history like I do it’s very enjoyable turnaround time was excellent

      ADAMS--AMERICAN HERO

      This PBS gem of a series is a welcome addition to my library. As a scholar and teacher of American History, it provides a remarkably accurate view of the times and the man and his family. Adams was a complex man....and as a fellow New Englander, I appreciate this complexity.....Those who can should make a pilgrimage to the ADAMS HISTORICAL SITE in Quincy (Braintree), Massachusetts just outside both Providence, RI and Boston, MA. End your visit by standing in the presence of the crypts of both Presidents and their wives.....history will touch you there......and while unpopular Presidents at the time of their service, time and history have judged them both well. America is a much stronger and secure nation becuase of the service of President John Adams and President John Quincy Adams.

      The Adams Chronicles

      I am a fan of the American Revolution and John Adams. This series is very good, - my favorite parts are at the beginning following the life of John Adams and his family during the American Revolution. John Adams is my favorite patriot of that period, surpassing Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. He is underestimated in American history and is the one who fought for years and years to make this the great country that it is and always will be. I think this series should be shown to schools around the country. Very well done. God bless America!!!!

      The Adams Chronicles (2008, DVD)

      An exceptional quality docu-drama production and DVD!!! I can recall watching this series on television in 1976; at the time, thinking that this was a well producted story of John Adams and subsequent generations of Adams family members. The recent airing of John Adams on HBO inspired me to research whether this 1976 production of the Adams Chronicles was available on DVD. I was delighted that it was available on eBay and immediately purchased it. My wife and I watched the first of many episodes last evening; agreeing that this was worthly of viewing again and again.

      Still engaging 40 years later

      John Adams and John Quincy Adams are engaging people and important early presidents. I remember the series from over 40 years ago and was lucky to find a set.
