  • Almost perfect ...

I don't want to list all the features this phone has because there are plenty of them and you can look those up at Nokia's web site. I have done a lot of phone comparisons before deciding on this phone, and you get more features with this phone than most others. Although I'm one of those folks who mainly use it to make calls and hence can't comment much on many features, I can tell you that the camera works great, producing quite decent pictures for a phone; the synchronization with Outlook is a God-sent for me (software free from Nokia); and overall the phone is very easy to use. I particularly like that you can program certain buttons with "shortcuts" to whatever features you use most, and the radio comes in handy more often than I thought, as does the MP3 player. I also think the voice ...

  • Great little phone:don't judge a book by it's cover

This phone was compared to many others before I purchased, and happily I chose this one. I have had two other Nokia phones, love their user friendly menus, but this one takes the cake. When I bought the phone I had never used a phone with Bluetooth, MP3, or a radio, however, these features became a staple with my 6230. When you download the free Nokia software for your computer, and get a Bluetooth link (mine fit in the computers front USB) you can effortlessly transfer your music to the phone's memory card. I also liked how you could personalize the two selection buttons for your most frequent phone activities, mine was the music player for the right selection key, and the left selection key listed a "Go To" list which you picked the items, also each side of the directional button had ...

  • Nokia 6230

This phone has a compact style, very sturdy and basic for anyone that just wants a phone to talk. its working great in GSM network and has great reception. The price makes it very affordable for anyone that dont need all the features of a smart-phone or PDA. I travel a lot through US and im on the road most of the time so i get to experience how the phone acts while switching from tower to tower. thank you and i hope this helps.

  • great phone! firmware upgrade recommended!

this phone is really great. i own two of them, nokia has a great user interface that anyone can understand. this phone can still outperform newer phones just released in the market. with its expandable memory and bluetooth capability, this phone, though old is a must-have! this phone still kicks butt. just make sure you have firmware versions v.5.24- v5.50 to get the most out of this thing. 5.50 is the latest firmware. to check the version just push *#0000# and youll see the firmware version and the year it was released. v 5.24 and on fix a great deal of problems seen in pre versions. now, the camera is clearer, bluetooth doesnt stall, higher mmc supports( by the way mmc's are soo cheap on ebay), the display is cleaner, and the mp3 player is better too. hope this helped.

  • STILL the best phone if you're looking for ....

    * compact and light * mp3 player * radio * VGA Camera * speakerphone * AWESOME reception (still the best out there!) * Bluetooth * EDGE (FAST GPRS) * Java programs and games * easy to navigate and FAST menu system This phone does it all. The ONLY drawbacks to this phone are that it is a few years old. That said, it only has a VGA camera and screen resolution is only 128x128. This is not an issue, though, as the screen is compact, anyway. The letters and numbers still look crystal clear when reading them. If your faceplate gets scratched up, get a new one on eBay for $5-$9. I've had mine for 2 years and love it
