About this product

Product Information

I suppose I should start where it all started. Or, more specifically, started ending. The night Chris told me he was done with our marriage. I was standing at the sink in the kitchen, washing salad greens, pushing my hands through the cold water in the salad spinner to shake the dirt loose. As I poured the water from the salad spinner down the drain, I was feeling grateful for everything I had in my life, but I couldn't ignore Chris's silence pressing against my back. I started to turn around from the sink, wanting to find a way to pull Chris back into the room. As he felt my eyes come to rest on him, he let out a slow, pointed exhale, and said, simple as pie, "I'm done." Then he sighed again. "I'm done with this," he said, gesturing with his hand to encompass our living room, our kitchen, our home, our son, our future, our dreams, every single memory we'd ever made together in our thirteen years as a couple, and me, suddenly meaningless me. Done, just like that. Book jacket.

"I loved it. Raw, wonderful, honest, brash, truth-telling-Falling Apart in One Piece is a story about learning to let go and come to terms with the journey of life. It is a book for anyone whose life has just taken an unexpected turn and who needs to be reminded that not only can they be happy again, but that the human spirit is capable of great resilience." -Lee Woodruff, author of Perfectly Imperfect: A Life in Progress, “I loved it. Was sent the wrong item. I ordered a CD and I received an LP instead. Two different places on the description said that it was a used CD in good condition. When I emailed the seller about it I got a generic reply telling me that they would get to it when they can and that if I send a second message it will just delay the process. That is terrible customer service. If they have time to send me an email message at all then they have time to initiate a refund or to answer the question I asked.

The book arrived in a plastic envelope with not protection and unfortunately it looked like the book was damaged in transit because of it. The items original ETA was April 18th but arrived on April 22nd. I requested a refund after seeing the quality of the book and the seller responded with a full refund and an apology for the quality. I really appreciated the customer service but was sad to see the book not in the quality described.

Thank you so much for the quick response and delivery. I have not ordered from eBay in many years. You have renewed my trust that there are some professional sellers I can work with through eBay not just Amazon. Thanks again!☺️

  • Loved the title, clever and has many connotations.

I was familiar with the writer as I recognized her name from Redbook Magazine. I was curious to read her story. I was truly impressed with her honesty in expressing the depth of her emotions as her life experiences unfold. I could relate to her devastation and overwhelming feelings as her journey continues to unfold as I'm had some recent experiences in my own life that have required a lot of courage and stamina to persevere. The title intrigued me - the feeling of falling apart, but remaining in one piece says it all! This was an inspirational book for me. I believe it would be for others also, and would recommend it.

  • Stacy Morrison is an inspiration!

I've always been a fan of Stacy and read Redbook cover to cover each month. I look forward to reading her letter each month and seeing new pics of Zack. This book puts you in the middle of her life through such a crazy time and you can't help but identify with her, if not all she encounters, most can identify wtih the struggles of being a good wife, mother, and career woman. Great read! Highly recommend!
