When I first tried to use this over the air indoor antenna it didn't work at all. Rec 2 out of over 50 channels available. I'm in a city 30 to 50 flat miles from broadcast towers. After several hours of tinkering, moving and rescanning was able to receive about half of the available channels fairly good picture quality. Almost all require a slightly different antenna placement. Works better than rabbit ears for me. Don't plan on getting any long range reception those claims unreasonable
