    Wonderful set of DVIDs!

    I purchased this DVD set for my father who loves the old westerns. The set was all I had hoped for with good story lines for that time period and being able to get all the seasons produced was a fabulous treat. The characters are what you would expect, a matriarch of a wealthy family that had settled in Stockton California during the old west and there are adult children each with their own story lines that connect back to the main matriarch of the family.

    bring back the good ol' days

    Decades ago, television producers actually made quality programs. The Big Valley series captured the ruggedness and roughness of the ol' West, while at the same time, showing some of the good sides of it as well. All of the characters in the series were ideal, and the program made for a real, quality, competitive one to other great quality programs as Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie.
