Strongest Epoxy Available In Small Quantities

Epoxy resins available from commercial sources may have a higher sheer strength but those are difficult to handle and have a short shelf life. Marine Tex has a long shelf life and has a high sheer strength - meaning it bonds very well and is strong itself. It is also water resistant and will not rapidly degrade when submerged. It is the recommended epoxy for most gun stock repairs and fittings. I recommend that you mix the entire quantity with the catalyst since the mixture ratio needs to be precise (within 10%) so set up more than one job to use the quantity mixed.

  • Transmission saver!

The corner of my automatic transmission case was broken off, while at the rebuild shop. My friend owns a boat repair shop. He said to try Marine Tex, he uses it all the time, with great results. So I did. And the results are better than I could dream of. The directions are very simple, and it works just like the box describes. I did get some inside of one of the bolt holes by mistake. So I drilled and tapped new threads right into the hardened Marine Tex. The transmission pan bolted on and no more leaks!

  • Alternative to acraglass

Enough to do the recoil lug and tang of 2 rifles, smooth, pasty texture keeps it from running, just be sure to use a good release agent, short set up time, very hard when mixed right, sticks well to synthetic stocks when prepped right as well as wood, just the right amount of mix for us non professionals who don't want the stuff sitting on a shelf for years.

  • Fantastic Epoxy that lives up to its claims!

One of the best epoxy's ever! It will dry hard and is sandable and drillable as advertised. When reinforced with fiberglass mesh you could practically mend anything. I have even epoxyed a broken transmission casing together where it cracked from a collision at one of the bolt holes. I did this by cleaning first then epoxyed the inside where it touches together and then made a ring band around the hole. After drying I smoothed it and put it back on the vehicle and it worked fine with no leaks for years!. Amazing! I have used other epoxys that claim the "same" but they did not hold up as well.

  • Great stuff!

This works great. I've used it to fix broken motorcycle body work and the console door hinge in a car. It's VERY durable and makes a reliable repair. When "epoxy glue" just won't cut it, use Marine Tex. Highly recommended!
