    Great American Songbook II

    I love all of the "songbooks" that I have so far and this one is even a bit more special simply because of the selections shared with Cher and Queen Latifa. Rod's raspy voice is excellent in all of the songs and it just compells you to slow dance around the room even if you can't dance worth a hoot or are alone. :) But the songs with Cher and Queen Latifa are simply superb and the one with Cher will have you smiling and perhaps even giggling.... fun times!! Well worth the purchase!

    the song book

    Im not much of a Rod Stewart fan, dont get me wrong I do like some stuff from him. He is one hell of a crooner and song wrighter. But this CD is covers of early Americal clasics. Now I need to admit I dident buy this for my self, if you notice my mother in law from time to time has me get cd for her and this just happens to be one of those times. But she on average has me get CRAP! but no this time it's a disc I can get into. all in all its above average and a solid record. that goes for the whole series 1 - 5 ( that I know of ). M.

    As Time Goes by: The Great American Songbook Rod Stewa

    I was very familar with the CD. We purchased in while on vacation and paid over $20. We returned home and must have left it in the CD player when turning in our leased vehicle. Repurchased it on Ebay for a small fraction of the original price. If you like the classics and Rod Stewart, I recommend the entire series.

    I ordered 2 Rod Stewart CDs one was perfect, the other, The Great American Songbook Volume 111 is damaged. I can't believe it was even shipped to me

    This CD is visibly damaged, I can't believe it was even shipped like this. What do I do now, I would like to have it replaced!

    Rod Stewart's Great American Songbook

    Really great music. Stewart's voice lends well to the genre, and he has some interesting duet partners. Highly recommeded.
