    Awesome CD!

    LOVE this CD! Could listen to it every day and never tire of it. Songs that stand out for me are Miami, American Storm, and It's You. These are ones that are rarely played on the radio in my area which shouldn't be surprising. The best ones on albums or CDs a lot of times don't get heard by the DJs. If you appreciate Bob Seger, you'll love this CD!

    Absolutewly great! Like a Rock says it all!

    One of Bob Seger's absolut best! The title cut is an all time classic and is familiar to anyone who drives a Chevy truck! Vito's slide guitar solo is absolutely magical and unforgettable; and nobody does it better! The second song on the album, American Storm, is a fantastic song that got very little air play when the album was released. It's a stirring, high energy rock and roll anthem that makes you want stomp down on the accelerator if you're driving while listening to it! As usual, the remainder of the album is filled with Seger's classic bluesy ballads and rock songs that have made him a Motor City legend. Anyone who loves classic Seger and Motown R&B will love this album, especially baby boomers who can relate to his lyrics.

    Not just a Chevrolet commercial song

    I've been a Bob Seger fan since the early 1980's, I actually bought "Like a Rock" on vinyl, then owned the cassette, now the cd. If your a fan of his then this is an absolute must own. He began in the early 1980's to drift from harder rock sounds into a more layered sound that was still very lyrically based and it was a great change of pace. I've heard some people (over time) say they didn't really care for this evolution in his sound but I really liked it. This is the kind of cd that you should have if your taking a long drive, or one to put on if your entertaining dinner guests at home, its a mature effort and very easy to listen to. If you buy it, you'll see that for yourself.

    Like A Rock-Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band

    This is an album that celebrates 25 years in 2011. I think it is worth the money. This is tough to find. "Like A Rock"of course is the staple song of this record, but "American Storm" was also a top-20 single, and "It's You" and "Miami" also were top 100 singles. There is also a cover of CCR's "Fortunate Son" that is a typically awesome Seger cover. A long lost gem from Seger. It is highly recommended.
