Just finished Sea Change by Robert B Parker. This is the fifth book of the Jesse Stone series. The prior four are Stone Cold, Death in Paradise, Trouble in Paradise and Night Passage (yes, I’ve read them all). Chief of Police, Jesse Stone, has his hands full when a female body washes ashore in Paradise Harbor during Race Week. Between this new murder investigation and the large influx of tourists in town his ex-wife has come to stay with him to see if they can work things out. Sex and power and relationships become the main topics as the investigation proceeds. Where do you draw the lines between healthy and perverse? The Spencer series by Robert B. Parker is one of my absolute all-time favorites. I love the writing style, the level of intelligence and the honesty. Many of my past ... Just finished Sea Change by Robert B Parker. My loyalty runs deep with Parker, but I do have to admit that the Jesse Stone series doesn’t really pack quite the same punch. Sure, his writing is good, the storylines are well thought out, but I just don’t like the main character that much. Get over your ex-wife and have a frigging cocktail already…..

Sea Change, great read.
All of the Robert B. Parker books are worth a read. This new series of his are excellent and it with great sorrow to know he is no longer among us, but his legacy will live on forever with his writing. Give any of his enormous library of books a read, it will be well worth it.
