    Great value lens for maximum resolution images

    This lens is as sharp as it gets. From f/2 through f/11 it is exceptional both in the center and in the corners. It has a very smooth focus ring with a very long focus throw. It feels very solid but not too heavy. I have done some great macrophotography with it and plan on doing portraits and landscape as well. Like any manual lens its not useful for sports or candid street photography because of the time required to focus. I can see no chromatic aberration at any f-stop.

    I am using this lens on the Sony A7RIV and it provides superb results. Pro's: 1. Well built and precise 2. Easy to manual focus on Sony cameras 3. Incredible resolution Con's 1. Manual focus only 2. A little heavy Can be used for any type of photography really.

    Poor design with good optical expression.

    Poor front cap design. Poor threading for filter and hood. Poor design for focusing ring. Smooth rings. The traditional colored rings on barrel is more attractive.
