    Still a good war movie.

    "Hell is for Heroes" is about an under- strength platoon of American soldiers who must hold their positions on the Siegfried Line against superior German forces. They must use their wits to survive. Steve McQueen stars as a loner for whom rules and regulations are of little value. The supporting cast includes James Coburn, Bobby Darin, Fess Parker, Nick Adams, and Bob Newhart. This is a gritty portrayal of World WarII combat. There is no glory here. Released in 1962, this remains a worthwhile film. I like this film because I have always been a fan of Steve McQueen,and believe that he gives a very good performance. There is really nothing terribly wrong with this movie, except that it is quite violent.
