The Kodak point and shoot camera is a simple to use, one handed, operational film camera. The Kodak 435 Star camera does not require the operator to set the exposure or focus, as the camera does this automatically, resulting in sharp and clear photographs every time, with no exposure issues. The built-in flash means the Kodak point and shoot camera can be used in all light conditions. The flash is effective within a normal range of five to 10 feet. Batteries are required purely to activate the flash, as all other operations on the flash camera are mechanical. An easy-to-use thumb wheel means that that the flash camera film is simple to advance and a pop-up rewind lever together with a push of the release button ensures simple rewinding. The Kodak point and shoot camera viewfinder is very easy to use. Thanks to its simple operation, the Kodak 435 Star camera can be used by anyone from the age of five to 95.

Kodak 435 Star is a Star of a camera!
I purchased this camera to add to my personal camera collection as a representative of the point and shoot genre of photographic equipment. I wound up taking it with me to a recent family gathering and was pleasantly surprised by the results. I had a couple of other cameras with me, including a sophisticated 35mm SLR and the Kodak 435 Star was absolutely the easiest to use and gave me memorable photos for the family album. I didn't have to worry about exposure settings or focusing issues. It was truly a one handed, point and shoot operation every time and not one single photo was lost to my own incompetence. The reason it needs batteries is to fire the built in flash. Other than that, it is focus free and purely mechanical. The film advances with a simple thumb wheel and film ... The film advances with a simple thumb wheel and film rewinding is accomplished with the basic pop up rewind lever and a push of the release button on the bottom of the camera. The viewfinder was very easy to use in spite of my glasses. It does not have the film sensors built in, so 200 or 400 speed film is probably the most one would want to use with this particular model. I might also add that the resulting pictures were sharp and clear. The flash is somewhat limited, but still effective when taking pictures of people within normal flash range of about 5 to 10 feet. Anything beyond that would be pushing the limitations of the camera. All in all, I found the Kodak 435 Star 35mm camera to be a dependable and stalwart addition to my collection. It is definitely a go anywhere camera meant to be used and not left sitting on a shelf. Because of its simplicity, it can be used by anyone from ages 5 to 95.

Reliable, lightweight, simple
Great, reliable camera. The case is more protective than most point and shoots. Super simple and easy to use. Looks super sleek as well, as most of the Kodak Star series is. This my my go to point and shoot and I highly recommend it.
