4 of the best Biblical films available at any time
this is a collection of some of lube/lux's best productions. abraham: richard harris, as usual, transforms into the character he is portraying. the story adheres well to the scriptures, certainly better than we have come to expect. moses: what does one say about sir ben kingsley? like harris, kingsley has been classically trained, and it shows. the story does take a few "artistic licenses," but, overall, is a good facsimile of the real story. especially loved the scenes in which israel gets to hear the audible voice of G-D at the foot of the mountain. jacob: a tad truncated, but story is fairly accurate, and the acting is delightful. joseph: not as crazy about the fellow in the lead, but great supporting actors - including sir kingsley again. since the story is so wonderful, ... this is a collection of some of lube/lux's best productions. abraham: richard harris, as usual, transforms into the character he is portraying. the story adheres well to the scriptures, certainly better than we have come to expect. moses: what does one say about sir ben kingsley? like harris, kingsley has been classically trained, and it shows. the story does take a few "artistic licenses," but, overall, is a good facsimile of the real story. especially loved the scenes in which israel gets to hear the audible voice of G-D at the foot of the mountain. jacob: a tad truncated, but story is fairly accurate, and the acting is delightful. joseph: not as crazy about the fellow in the lead, but great supporting actors - including sir kingsley again. since the story is so wonderful, the movie is worth watching, for the sense of encouragement to always forgive (it saves the forgiver,) remain faithful to G-D (and HE will remain faithful to us,) and never, never give up. as if the stories alone were not wonderful enough, it is gilded with a beautiful restoration job. well done, shout factory! if you are seeking faithful renditions of our beloved stories from the old testament, this deserves your consideration. i know of no others that are better, and none even approach the quality of the lube/lux productions. enjoy!

Best Bible Movies
I'm a student of the Bible and a Bible-believing pastor who's been in ministry 31 years. While no movie can be 100% accurate to the Biblical text it covers, these movies are the best available in that regard. Plus, the budget, quality of set, and quality of actors and acting in these movies are FAR above all other Bible movies that are out there. The thematic elements and theological points in these films are better than parallel movies produced by Christians, who tend to insert cheesy, sapping, modern-day evangelical themes that are not there in these Biblical texts. I say this as a Bible-believing (inerrant, infallible Word of God, divinely inspired in each word) pastor. There are some other movies in this series for which I could not say these things. Great Old Testament movies with great actors and scripts.
This set is some of the finest bible interpretations I have ever watched. Is it Hollywood? Sure there is some. But it brings to life, with great acting, some of the best stories of the Old Testament. There are more of the movies out there and I have not seen the entire series but this set of four is, again, the best I have ever watched on Moses, Abraham, Joseph and Jacob. Enjoy
