  • Into Africa by Martin Duggard

One of those delicious books that one loves to curl up with before going to sleep. This is a documentary that reads like fiction. Henry Morton Stanley's childhood and background mold him for the main purpose of his life, to find missing explorer David Livingstone. Stanley's trials in Africa, while trying to reach Livingstone are non stop and thrilling. He moves among dangerous animals, savage cannibal tribes, wars, and treachery that Hollywoood would envy. Whatsmore, he survivies sit all. No movie could do better for action. When he finds Livingstone, after three long years of travel, they develop a relationship of mutual respect that leads to benefits for humanity as a whole. A great story about two great men about whom we don't hear much.. This surely makes one appreciate the courage ...

  • Fantastic book. Read it, live it. It will give you goosebumps!

If you love adventure, don't miss this book! If you love the feeling of falling into the peoples' characters, of seeing the real Africa and feeling the experiences of traveling in the footsteps of great people, don't hesitate. This book is fascinating. I couldn't put it down. I'm almost ready to read it again, it's that good. Buy it!
