    Just Like Cable

    Simple to set up. Provides sufficent speeds for video streaming. My new office does not have wifi where I can connect a FireTV or a personal laptop. The only other option was to hotspot a phone or iPad. But as soon as you stepped out of the room, the signal would drop and then when you came back in you would have to reconnect. Also hotspotting required the phone or iPad to be constantly plugged in. This unit doesn't have a battery so it behaves like a real modem. After putting your simcard in, power it up and connect a router to it just like setting up any broadband service.

    Bought LM1200 it as a replacement for a CradlePoint unit provided and managed by an ISP. Even without external antennas it is working perfectly and allows me to select the carrier that I want. It does not look like IPv6 configuration is easy to set up, but that may be carrier-dependent. Based on troubleshooting posts, Netgear blocks all incoming connections and ICMP(v6) so this unit won't work as VPN entry point.
