This Tokina lens for Nikon cameras has been specifically designed to be compatible with cameras featuring APS-C-size CMOS or CCD Sensors. It is a fast zoom lens that features an internal silent focusing AF motor. This feature is especially advantageous when shooting in low-light conditions, and it also helps in creating a shallow depth of field. This motor makes it possible for the lens to utilize the autofocus feature. It has an angle of view that ranges from 104 degrees to 84 degrees and can focus as close as 11.8 inches. It has nine diaphragm blades that help produce soft, out-of-focus backgrounds. It has two super-low dispersion glass elements and two aspheric elements.
