A Nice Story of a Boy and His beloved Maggie the Magpie
There are not many stories about the Japanese-American internment camps. I like the illustrations by Willie Ito. They are very expressive and fun. Together with Shig's story made a very happy/sad complete tale of a boy and his beloved bird Maggie the magpie.
