Billy Corgan At His Best
Zwan is another Billy Corgan "band", which essentially means Billy and a bunch of guys, but since he can do great things, this isn't always a bad thing. This album makes you remember why you loved the Pumpkins in the mid 90's. It pulls you in during the fist ten minutes, letting you know you made a good decision buying it. The guitars are airy and fresh, full of life, not as heavy as Siamese Dream or Melon Collie, but no less enjoyable. The lyrics are a little easier to understand, which always seemed to be a problem with Pumpkin's recording levels, the music totally masking the lyrics. Look, if you're reading this is, it isn't by accident you happened to find Zwan. You went looking for it because you know about Corgan and the Pumpkins. If so, just buy ... This is a must have for any Smashing Pumpkins fans and alternative rock fans in general. In my opinion this is one of Billy Corgan's best works. Excellent sounding album!
