This one by far is the best GPS unit ever made, dash board is easy to read, voice command is great feature, connecting to a phone or Bluetooth is simple. Just the best GPS I've used in my over the road position.

It is extremely easy to use and does an excellent job of giving you the best route. The traffic feature is nice as it will detour you around traffic congestion and accidents. One of the nicest little features that I didn't expect to see was that it actually tells you the speed limits of the roads that you are driving on. CONS: the battery life is not as long as it could be. And, as Garmins are known for, the power slider is really sensitive and I have large fingers so it gets difficult for me to get it to turn on and off. I would rate this as an excellent electronic!! It works great when docked and has many custimizable features.It is extremely easy to use and does an excellent job of giving you the best route. Why I bought it: I bought the nuvi 760 mainly for traveling purposes, and to help me find locations that I usually forget where they are!! What I like most about it: its flexibility in adding and removing maps, pictures, and other files. another nice thing is the Bluetooth that I can use to make hand free calls. having multi languages setting is useful too. The ability to set it to be used on off road, or to find the shortest or fastest road. some other features that I didn't use yet, calculator, translator, MP3 storage, currency converter, and more. the touch screen is wide enough to give you clear view of the map. What I dislike about it: the built-in mic might need some improvements because I have to raise my voice while talking in the phone via the Bluetooth. the disability ... My First "Fancy" GPS system
I gave it a 4 because of one issue: The FM Transmitter/Bluetooth function: They don't tell you for handsfree you have to be dialed into a certain FM station, that may change from area to area. I travel quite a bit and don't know if a radio station has come in, that wasn't there before, which is now conflicting/taking over the bluetooth (I have preset) station. Hope that makes enough sense. I may get a better hang of it down the road, as I have only owned for about 2 months. It's a bit hectic when it happens and you quickly try to answer the phone and have to disable the connection, between phone and the GPS. Also: no radio or Cd player when wanting GPS to speak directions through the car speaker system, of course. ... Other than that, it's one heck of a change from my MUCH OLDER handheld ... It's TOO easy? I actually feel lazy using it! ... Very sure! ... but lazy. -lol- Like watching television. You are told EVERYTHING! ... Gotta say, it is nice having female Australian company in the truck, with me! -lol- Notes to newbies with handsfree: 1)You'll want the unit as close to your head as possible without being ridiculous(unless you get an external mic). I have had it about arms length away(30") on the window and was told it was difficult to hear me. Yes, w/ windows closed.2)I hear some have the suction cup pull off the window...I lightly dampen mine before putting up and mine sticks like crazy. I work off unkept gravel and dirt roads, so I'm not talking just holding in suburbia!(just saying, " My suction cup works!")3) I haven't heard of a "friction dash pad" that'll work for off road/pothole driving like mine. Great unit! I'd step up to the newer replacement: The 780. Unless you get a new 760 as cheap as I did!... "That's about it for mine!"

I needed a GPS for work.. trying to find road in the dark with no street signs.. after some research I found the Garmin 760 was better rated.. and thin and I able to pack in my lunch box. this Garmin works real good.. the suction cup is weak.. but was a easy fix.. this 760 has a wide screen and make it easy er to see..the fm transmitter works great.. and the MP3 player was a great plus to listen to music on the FM radio and also the Voice on Gramin make better to be heard coming over the radio stereo.. the bluetooth works and is ok but in a truck that has alot of road noise this was not the best for me.. Wife could not hear me very well.. but if your stopped it was not to bad.. some times the routes have to be ajusted by viv a point.. but this Garmin is worth it's weight in gold in some ...
