Product Information

In this highly regarded teen drama, Mick (Penn) is a tough teenager who, in spite of the attempts of his straightlaced girlfriend J.C. (Sheedy), can't seem to walk the straight and narrow. Escalating confrontations with a rival group of students led by Paco (Morales) ends in the tragic death of Paco's younger brother by Mick at the wheel of a car. Mick's incarceration takes him off the street and drops him into a new world of competition where he needs to establish his credibility in order to survive and does so with typical violent flair. The ironic arrival of Paco, jailed for the retaliatory and vicious rape of J.C., leads to a continuation of the brewing feud between the two angry teenagers.

    Bad Boys (1983)

    Sean Penn is excellent in this film! After all these years, I still love this film which also stars a young Esai Morales. Great film! A delinquent held in juvenile detention for the murder of a noted youth gang member awaits a showdown with the dead man's vengeful brother in the deadly prison environment. Written by Keith Loh "Chicago crime kid Mick O'Brien has been sent to a juvenile prison for vehicular manslaughter. Most unfortunately, the person he kills is the kid brother of his nemesis Paco Moreno, who vows revenge by raping Mick's girlfriend. Paco is caught and sent to the same prison where he re-works his revenge plan, and Mick has no choice but to defend himself." (imdb) Enjoy!~~~~~

    Finally!! My own copy of Bad Boys!

    I received mine last night and watched it with my family during dinner time. No one had seen this film before and we are all Sean Penn fans in my house. One of Sean's finest. I had the luck to meet Esai Morales when living in LA but didn't have the opportunity to tell him how much I loved Bad Boys. I know most people remember him as the big brother in LaBamba, but for me, this was his best film. Altogether the casting and action of this film is great with a (now) all star cast from Ally Sheedy (Breakfast Club), to Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption). Great film. Hope no one remakes it.

    The best teenager crime ever.

    Best Sean Penn movie ever made, the characters of him, Esai Morales, and Ally Sheedy were like dynamite in a bag. The movie really makes you hate Esai Morales.

    Sean Penn at his best.

    I love this movie. The reason I bought it is because it is never shown on TV. They always run the other "Bad Boys" movie with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence all the time, and I think that this title is a far superior movie in all respects. The acting is superb and the characters and storyline are excellent. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.
