  • Visiting A City From The Past

With Philadelphia as my birthplace, I have an interest in its past. This book provided me with hours of traveling back through time and visiting an era I was never a part of. Dozens of photographs from the 18 & 1900's have captured what Philly was like during the rough days of the city's growth. Incredible scenes of famous buildings, places of work, and everyday homes take you on a personal trip into the very streets of a town over-flowing with life. Though many of these structures no longer exist, the pictures mixed with a little imagination can put you behind the lens of the photographers and give you the feeling that even time cannot erase the pride with which these great buildings were constructed.
