Never a dull moment !
This is a very entertaining movie. Plenty of action, the story line is interesting,the cast is great and it was directed and written by lawrence kasdan. It all comes together to make a great movie. I'm a western fan and this is one of my favorites.

Classic Western Is Worth Watching Again and Again!
With a fantastic cast like Kevin Costner, Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, Rosanna Arquette, John Cleese, Brian Dennehy, Jeff Goldblum and Linda Hunt, you can't go wrong with this Modern Classic Western. Linda Hunt says one of my all time favorite lines to live by "The World is what you make of it my friend, if it doesn't fit, you make alterations". Kevin Costner plays brother to Scott Glenn as the character Jake, who is a little off his rocker but so much fun, even when he "falls off his horse". You have a true rendition of cowboys too because there is a black cowboy, which in history there were quite a few black cowhands. In the end it all comes down to right - vs- wrong in a showdown that is well worth the watch. The movie is more than 2 hours long but you don't even notice ... Big budget 1980's western
I bought this for my grandfather since he loves the old classic westerns. I like this one more than the old classics, and I guess that makes some sense given my age. I wanted to see what he thought of this modern western. I first saw this when I was maybe 10 or so and it was probably the first western I had ever seen. It made a big impression on me. I'd love to see it on the big screen again, but little chance of that happening. There's some neat background in to the making of Silverado on this DVD, with commentary by Kasdan. He also did the writing for some other notable movies such as Teh Big Chill and Empire Strikes Back. You can check out the full list at imbd.com if you wish. That is the destination
This is one of the better Westerns. Where the good people don't always were white hats. There is a lot of shooting but nice there is not a lot of blood and gore. There is a great story line and real life characters you'll fall in love with. In my opinion Good movie
