Seller Notes: “In fair original antique used condition. The 5 bevelled glass panels on the sides are in good ... “In fair original antique used condition. The 5 bevelled glass panels on the sides are in good condition, there is some light wear and two very small nibbles on one of the edges of the right hand panel but no major chips and some fine scratches / scuff marks on the flat faces of the glass. The image set in the lid is in good condition but has crinkled in the sky section and has a few small section which have peeled in the sky, the wording and image are unaffected by this. The hinge and catch are in good working order and the lid "snaps" shut securely. The casket has a slight wobble when stood on a flat surface so one leg must be slightly ben, I have not tried to adjust this. The ormolu (gilt brass) metal frame of the box has tarnish and some wear to the gilt finish, I have not polished this as I prefer the aged patina. Complete with the original pink quilted silk cushion, this has faded and shredded but is intact. Please see the photographs.”
