The best value for the buck!
Recently, we cut our cable service back to the very basic service, with the plan being to eventually go totally "off the air". This low priced antenna seemed like a good place to start. I found it easy to assemble, taking only about five minutes using just a nut driver. In our basement rec-room, I found 9 channels available and that was with the antenna placed 3 feet BELOW grade! On the first floor, I found 20 channels on the scan, TWO of them were high VHF channels which this antenna isn't even designed for. The channels in my area vary from 15 to 35 miles away so I think as an outdoor antenna, it would be even more capable. The results so far, which I am amazed with, have all been while using the antenna indoors. The next trial will be using it outdoors through a splitter to see if it ... Great Digital Reception.
I have owned several of these through the years and I used to be a professional DirecTV and DishNetwork installer. Have bought one for my Sister, My Dad, My house and a friend. The signal is great, and the bracket can be installed on and tube without the need for tools. I would buy this antenna over any antenna in Best Buy. Compact size. Be carefull with the connector, do not overtighten the F-Connector (meaning the coax cable) or you may break it and have to connect the copper and the insulation directly to the two poles (if you do that make sure the copper and the insulated portion of the coax are not touching)I have owned several of these through the years and I used to be a professional DirecTV and DishNetwork installer. I use these indoors next to the TV to improve reception. It helps to mount it on a pole or something to keep it elevated up near the ceiling. The price is good. I didn't have any trouble assembling this, but I'm mildly technical and can figure many things out. I found a heavy old floor lamp on the sidewalk and brought it home and attached the antenna to it. Then it's easy to rotate to get the best TV signals. You could probably use a 1 1/2" diameter wooden pole from the hardware store--maybe 6 or 8 feet high to mount it on.I use these indoors next to the TV to improve reception.
