    Adventures of a boy and a dog

    One of my favorite movies as a kid. Shows the friendship between a boy and a dog, and how wonderful opportunities ultimately come to those who are trying to better themselves and trying to do good things for themselves and others. It also shows how a man focused on things is changed to become more focused on other people and helping them. All this of course is brought about by his interaction with the adventures and setbacks of the boy and the dog. It's not an "oscar" movie. It's better than that.

    A lightweight Old Yeller of the Gentry.

    Somewhat poignant, largely happy with a Disney ending. This one was easily forgotten when Old Yeller was kept going even in Country Music.

    Both my Wife and I had Irish Setters, We Love them, We currently Have an Irish Setter, They are a Beautiful, Intelligent Dog. Our life revolves around this dog. If you understand the Love of a dog, you learn to understand the beauty of a dog. It was Great seeing this movie once again
