Just read two online Rave reviews that place this among the best complete cycles of the Quartets, so a FANTASTIC value, a great doorway into Beethoven's most sublime music. In the last few years of his life, all his efforts went into writing his Late Quartets, but earlier his Middle Quartets are exquisite and possibly the easier place to start, with #7.
