    Wish I was there

    Mike Oldfield has come on and off and back on my favourite play lists many times over the years since I first was mesmerized by the original 'Tubular Bells' in 1972. He's a tad eccentric and some of his songs reflect that - especially his strange obsession with sea chanties. But he more than makes up for it with his brilliant works. There must be plenty of people out that that think he specializes in navel gazing and watching him perform live might be like watching paint dry. Not so. This is a fantastic concert, and I've wanted to own it since I first saw it air on TV here in Canada a few months after the concert itself. Sadly it has never been made available in the North Amercian NTSC Region 1 format. So I went out and bought a multi region DVD player. Worth it. Buy it.
