    tommy steele's energy could power 5 cities!!!

    many many years ago i saw about 15 minutes of this movie during my lunch break from work--it made an impression on me. later on i found a copy of the soundtrack at a thrift store and played it quite a lot. saw the film on ebay and decided that i wanted to see the whole thing. but, i didn't want to invest the cost of a copy on dvd incase i didn't care for it, that is why i purchased it vhs form. i watched the film and was amazed that i remembered the songs as i haven't listened to the soundtrack for years. my favorite song would have to be "money to burn." this is a story of childhood love eventually finding its way into adulthood.....some snags along the way when steele's character "arthur kipps" comes into some money and alienates his wife and friends. lots of music and dance numbers. ...

    Half a Sixpence

    Half a Sixpence is a great movie that I saw in England many years ago. The main actor was a very well known and loved singer by the name of Tommy Steele. I love a lot of old English comedy and I also love musicals. I would say this tape is a musical. It is nice to view things that are not all blood and guts or a lot of the trash that is made now. A story and no foul language.
