    Great camera but a huge investment.

    It is everything I thought it would be. The image quality is the best. Expensive - but it's for life. I am a black and white photographer and this camera is better than the film cameras that I used. The drawbacks: After I received the camera I saw that I you have no choice but to purchase a leica battery. This battery has the camera cover actually attached to the battery. I usually take the batteries out of the cameras at the end of the day, but this design leaves the battery chamber open to dust and dirt. Also instead of paying $70 for a Watson backup battery I now have to shell out nearly $300 for a leica battery.

    This camera is a dream

    While not pocketable, this camera is nearly perfect. Being confined to a fixed lens and a black & white only sensor forces me to slow me to slow down and observe the light that’s dances around me. It’s the type of photography that addicted me as a young man. The optics and dynamic range/low noise at high ISO are incredible. I’ve fallen in love with photography all over again.
