About this product

Product Information

Ninety-Nine Nights II continues the hack-and-slash action found in its Dynasty Warriors-influenced predecessor. Use an assortment of weapons, items, and combo attacks to battle throngs of enemy creatures. As in the original game, hundreds of enemies will appear on the screen at once, and you must find a way to defeat them to reach each faction's towering champion. Unlike the first title, which was solely a single-player experience, Ninety-Nine Nights II supports online cooperative action, allowing two players to confront the enemy hordes as a team. Multiple characters are also available, each featuring customizable weapons and accessories to perform distinctive attacks. Your overall goal is to free the land of Orphea from the dreaded Lord of the Night and his ghastly army of goblins, ogres, and other dark creatures.

  • Still not as good as Dynasty Warriors

Loved the blood and brutality of the game. Boss battles also gave it a GoW feel with button sequences and great cinematics. The problem is the complete lack of variety with the enemies. There's 6 types of enemies (footsoldier, flyer, giant, floating cursing demon, horseman, and a floating bomb). They try to vary it up by changing it to a slightly different color scheme (adding a tinge of red) or sticking a different weapon into the footsoldier. However, after over 30 levels of killing a thousand or two of these guys per level, you realize how dreadfully repetitive it is. Also, you have next to no allies. Anyone you do have is completely worthless. This is where it pretty much falls flat next to DW. At least your various objectives and progress increase the overall performance of your ...

  • N3 by IGN

If you're unfamiliar with the N3 games, allow me to break it down for you as quickly as I can. It's a hack 'n slash game a la the Dynasty Warriors franchise, wherein you take a number of fantasy characters (or, at least, the Korean interpretation of fantasy races) through a cliched story to stop an evil man and his army of darkness. Granted, plenty of movies and games have proven that timeless plot points like this can be told and retold and still be compelling, but it feels like the writers of N3II didn't even try. The story is terrible and predictable, with some of the worst lip syncing and voice acting I've heard in a game in quite some time, and full of characters who aren't even likable due to how silly and moronic they come across. by.(IGN)

  • N3: a terrific hack and slash

I'm a fan of this series, it's a big hack and slash game. But the AI is also good, so be ready for a challenge. The controls in this seQuel are basic compared to the first one, but they added on more costumes and options. The only thing is that this version has online co-op which should be rather fun. I sort of miss the commanding guards option, but this game really does deliver. Cinematics and graphics are wonderful, I'm sure you wont regret this purchase.

  • Excellent game & well worth the $20 I paid for it NEW!

Absolutely loved this game! Excellent graphics & storyline. Controls are great & bosses are hard to beat & require strategy to win. I purchased this hoping it was as good as the original & it delivers!
