About this product

Product Information

From work and school assignments to social media and online networking, the Apple MacBook has you covered. It features a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 250GB hard drive housed in a glossy, non-skid, white polycarbonate body. Use the pre-loaded Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system to get everything done, while the long-lasting lithium polymer battery keeps the computer running even if you have nowhere to plug into a power source. Enjoy video chatting via the iSight camera built right into the design. The 13.3-inch screen is large enough to get things done or watch movies without being so large it’s painful to carry around.

    Updated to OS 10.11.6

Excellent value for money. The MacBook Mid 2010 is to replace an old one with a cracked hinge being used to record the sermons at church. I ordered it because it has the same hardware that allows the versatility of swapping the head phone jack from output to input in System Preferences allowing me to record directly into Audacity (a recording software) from the church sound amplifier. The Original MacBook 2010 has 8 GM of RAM, but, The installed 4 GB of installed RAM in this one handles the recording with no problem. You might be wondering, if both are identical why not swap the RAM. Simply put, even with the cracked hinge, the old one is perfect for sitting in my recliner and connecting to the internet. The laptop was restored to factory settings. Though the MacBook was listed in eBay ...

Still amazing (as a kid's gift for school and media consumption)

The things I like the most about this Macbook model is as following: 1) The battery, memory chips and hard disk are easily upgradeable, no need to be a tech savvy. Watch a YouTube tutorial (which are plenty),get the proper tools, which are dirt cheap and you'll be fully covered. 2) High Sierra is the latest OS -oficially- supported by Apple although you can jump to Mojave or even Catalina following dosdude1 online guides. 3) A fresh new thermal paste application will provide a more steady performance without heating issues to these machines, take it to your nearest IT shop and pay for this job. 4) Even though this Macbook supports up to 2 TB of internal storage, you can remove DVD optical drive and install another hard disk if needed; it's a little more complex task but also a bonus. I ...

  • The 2010 MacBook is a great deal for someone who wants a powerful mac.

Overall, this is a very nice MacBook. The CPU isn't the best, but none 3 generations behind will be, but it's still decent for video editing in Final Cut Pro and music in Logic Pro, although it's not as good as a new MacBook with an i7. The graphics processor is very nice, allowing you to do light gaming and 3D modeling. The current Intel Integrated graphics in the MacBook airs are just now slightly better than the 320M. It runs SolidWorks, Blender, and even Minecraft beautifully. The hard drive is slow though, its 5200RPMs, so I replaced it with an SSD and it is magnificent now. I use windows in bootcamp on this macbook for my engineering job, as well as some 3D animation on the side, as well as Music and Video editing in OS X, and it fits the bill perfectly. In order ...

  • Great product, but reinstalling Mac could be tricky

Watch out, reinstalling mac to ensure everything was clear was a bit tricky, since it was registered with some school district and it wouldn't allow me to complete the reinstall until I turned wifi off so it wouldn't contact Apple's servers. Otherwise it goes great; battery holds for 4 hours; everything is functional; though it has shut down on me randomly a couple times when I've got the CPU and GPU maxed out

  • Great! Worth the money if you want or need a cheap, stable, and Mac laptop!

I bought this because I wanted to downgrade from a huge 17.3 hp laptop. This is my FIRST Mac and first transition from a Windows PC. I like how the system runs really smooth (after adding more RAM). At first, it was a bit slow due to the lack of ram (2gb). Later on I put in 5gb, and it runs so fast now. I get about 4-5 hours of battery life. It's a bit heavy though for a 13 inch, but nevertheless still much more portable than my previous 17.3 inch HP laptop. I recommend this laptop if you aren't willing to sacrifice thousands of dollars for an Apple product but still want the security and stability of the OSX Apple operating system. Would not recommend if you edit videos a lot, you would be off with a macbook pro i5 or i7, since it would be speedier. This ...
