About this product

Product Information

Tecmo presents TRAPT for the PS2, a puzzle-based game that contains a number of horror elements in its interesting storyline. The game is a continuation of the KAGERO: Deception series that began on the Playstation, but players aren't required to play the original games to understand TRAPT. The storyline begins when Princess Allura is framed for killing her father. As she flees the castle, players learn her dark secret: she's possessed by a demon known as Fiend. Fiend allows Allura to set a number of different traps to kill people, giving Fiend souls to survive off of. As the storyline progresses, players learn more about Fiend and how he came to possess the princess. The gameplay in TRAPT is very unique. As Allura, players run around the room setting traps while avoiding enemies. Once up to nine traps are set, they can be activated once an enemy is near. The traps come in a number of different types, including floor traps like bombs, wall traps like spikes, and ceiling traps like metal balls. Once players understand the system, they can start laying out traps in a way that an enemy will be hit by several at once to create a combo. Of course, it isn't quite that simple: some enemies are immune to certain traps, and some rooms contain areas where traps can't be placed. TRAPT weaves together unique characters, horror elements, and a fun, different gameplay style to create a unique game that will provide hours of challenge.

Seller was very polite and understanding when I requested a refund so as to change the shipping address. Item description was accurate and the item was in fact in better condition than I hoped. It should only require simple repairs so I am very pleased. Definately a decent seller.

    Home Horror Alone

It's an Action Puzzle Horror Stealthy no real weapons game, unique with simple controls to plot the trap and lure the victims to it and activate. If you are too close when it goes off it takes a small chunk outa life and throws you. Makes you think but rewards you with graphic bloody mauling deaths, causing a morbid chuckle from you the gamer.

  • Trapt (Playstation 2)

If you played and liked any of the tecmo Deception games, this is more of the same with a little boost to the graphics. If you've never tried any ,Its a "real time" trap seting game where the game play is that you kill anyone who enters your castel.combos are fun.You can smash some one with a smashing wall knocking them over the edge of a rail onto a tile set with explosives, then before he gets up from the bomb you release giant bolder to roll over him!there's not another type of game like it. so if you like odd games and don't mind the killing theme you should have fun with it.

  • Excellent game!

I've always been a fan of the Tecmo's Deception series, and now with this my collection of them is complete! The games are really good, have a nice, dark story, and they're all around fun to play. Trapt seems like it's more of a reboot than a sequel in my opinion, but then again, the games didn't really seem to be related too much in story aside from the fact that you use traps to dispose of your enemies. The difficulty of the series are very rewarding as well, and Trapt is no exception. It's so very satisfying to set up the trap combos, or figure out the secret devices in the castle, a very rewarding game experience to say the least. Trapt has much better graphics than the others as well, but seeing as it's ps2 and the others are ps1, that's kind of a given. I recommend this game to ...

  • Great original styled game for ps2

I recently bought the ps2 game Trapt and honestly love it. I had at one time owned this game and remebering all the fun i had playing it i jumped at the offer to purchase it again. Its a great orginal styled action horror strategy game and whats so original? The action is traps. Yes you kill people with traps through a power you were given. As they game progress ofcoarse you can upgrade and create all kinds of great traps to bring people to a horrific bloddy end. I am honestly a fan of the whole serrios which started on ps1 under the title deception inwhich 3 seperate titles were released for ps1. Trapt was the ps2 instalment and granted it was not as much of an upgrade from the predessers it is fun to play and highly recomend. Not the kind of game for fans of a mindless shootemup.

  • Interesting game play but dull story

This game although the story is a bit drab, the unique gameplay makes up for it. The game starts with you (a princess) are being framed for your father's death(the king)and are chased into a haunted mansion. In the mansion a demon gives you power to defend yourself for a payment that isn't disclosed. The power you gain is to command death traps around you. These traps are placed and triggered by you to make combos to rack up more points. Good game for those who like to make stratiges and solve puzzles.
