    great book, full of fantastic and rare photos of logging operations on the west coast. covers the period from 1880s until 1950s.includes a complete glossary of old logging terms and their definitions.all kinds of geared and rod logging locomotives covered in great detail. book worth having just for the trestle photos. all photos in black and white,but very clear and focused.all in all,a great book,very pleased.
