Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Once the iPad was reset to factory, it will no longer remember the original bluetooth connection. You need to set up bluetooth on the iPad and put the keyboard into bluetooth discoverable. Once the keyboard is paired that red light will turn to green. I guarantee the keyboard works, and the battery last a long time. You can search the internet for setting up iPad Brydge Keyboard.
