Product Information
The Diversion name is not new, having been applied to the XJ600 and XJ900 models of the 1990s. This motorcycle carrying this Diversion name, or XJ6, is different though; it's an all new bike using a liquid-cooled engine derived from the FZ6 and an earlier generation R6. The XJ6 is sold throughout the world, but is known as the FZ6R in the US. Differences between the XJ6 models are few; the N and SP models are unfaired, the S has a sports fairing and the F a full fairing. Models covered *XJ6 N*599cc*09 - 15 *XJ6 SP*599cc*13 - 15 *XJ6 S Diversion*599cc*09 - 15 *XJ6 F Diversion*599cc*10 - 15 US*FZ6R*599cc*09 - 15 The manual provides full instructions on maintaining and repairing the motorcycle, accompanied by data, photographic sequences and a guide to difficulty levels. Useful tips discovered during the strip and rebuild project are presented as Haynes Hints and Tool Tips. The manual's eight chapters cover: Maintenance and servicing Engine, clutch and gearbox Cooling system Engine management (fuel and ignition) Frame and suspension Brakes, wheels and tyres Fairing and bodywork Electrical system and colour wiring diagrams Supporting information includes a comprehensive section on tools and workshop tips, fault finding, MOT test preparation and storage advice.
