Good stereo for the money
I bought the Pioneer DEH-P47DH for my sons 1999 Grand Am. I really like the fact that it is a 1.5 din which is the proper size for the car. The wiring harness adapter made connecting a breeze. The only place I had any problem was a clearance issue with the bolts on the installation hardware. The radio would almost slide back into place and then it would hit something. It turned out to be the bolts for the brackets to install the radio. Once I realized that was hitting it was a pretty simple fix. The sound quality is very good. I replaced the stock 6x9 speakers with a couple of better quality 6x9's. It made a big difference on the sound quality. I think this can still be improved on since we are still running the stock 6" speakers in the doors. That will be the next upgrade. Overall I would ... Great CD Player for GM & Chrysler 1.5 DIN Openings
I purchased one of these, brand new, 6 years ago. I have not had a single problem with, but I also use a CD Cleaner disk every month or so. I since have purchased 2 of these used, on eBay, for other vehicles and they have been great also. On one of them, I hooked up the Pioneer CD-IB100II Ipod Interface Adapter, and although I do not get all the features that newer Pioneer Head units can offer, it is still a handy way to connect the Ipod and charge it at the same time.I purchased one of these, brand new, 6 years ago. The rite cd player for GM. 1.5 din dashes.
I bought this radio for 1993 s-10,fits the dash perfectly.I wanted a cd player and subwoffer output. The eq settings leave a little to be desired, but all in all works great. I would definatly buy again,
