Pressed on 180 gram vinyl at RTI. Mastered from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Grey at Acoustech Mastering. Features all original packaging. Highlights include 'Caravan', 'Into the Mystic' and 'Moondance'. Van Morrison's 1970's follow up album to Astral Weeks titled Moondance was every bit as brilliant; buoyant and optimistic where Astral Weeks had been dark and anguished it cracked the Top 40 and generated classic hits.

    Excellent pressing and packaging. Hurry and order it.

    This reissue is fantastic. The sound is wonderful.Orignal gatefold with photos and fable by Janet Planet,Vans girlfriend at this time. Moondance is a great followup to the masterpiece Astral Weeks.I read somewhere,that this was the perfect followup to Astral Weeks. But where I disagree with that person is they said Astral Weeks was dark. Were they listening to the same record I was? Astral Weeks is anything but that. Not one dark song on entire lp. Beautiful,poetry abounds,and lovely melodies.Ballerina,Young lovers do,Astral Weeks, Sweet Thing,wonderful songs. Not a dark spot in the whole work. Some people. Anyway,iam just one person with a different take on it. My advice is buy both records and listen. Then form your own review. Happy listening, regards,Gator.

    A nice flat, well centered & quiet piece of RTI wax, mastered by Kevin Gray, obviously not the same as a Green Olive pressing but a fair bid for #2 regardless
