Love this movie!
Maybe it's the middle school teacher in me, but I was captivated by this movie! The acting was superb ! Melanie Griffith & Ed Harris were perfect for the title roles and the young actors who played the 7th grade boys were hilarious!

It portrayed the human side of a prostitute, her dreams, her desires to leave her past behind and to live her dream, A little house in Suburbia, a husband, a family and all that goes with it, the curiousity of young boys as to the opposite sex and the drive and desire that can be put out when one truly believes in a cause. The conversations between the Son (Michael Patrick Carter), V (Melanie Griffith), and Dad(Ed Harris) are outrageous. So many hidden meanings that are misconstrued and twisted in hilarious fashion. The hurt that occurs to each of them at different times seems so real and so sincere. I have watched this movie numerous times now and never tire of it!! I got this movie because it was filmed right down the street from my house. I eat at that ice cream parlor that was in the movie about twice a week (great ice cream). I live in Lebanon , Ohio where this movie was filmed. It is really neat to stand in the same spots as where the movie took place. I really did enjoy the movie too. Melanie Griffith is so HOT HOT HOT!!!!!... It has alot of good fun humor in the movie too ,as a love story unfolds right before your eyes. I have a friend that his back yard in the spot that they were trying to save in the movie. The Yellow house in on a street called ORCHARD street. The Tree house still stands to this day too. Great movie and i fully recommend it!!! I also like to stop my car in the same spot where the car in the movie got blown up by the train ...
