    Great detector from a premier radar detector manufacturer

    If you don't care to have any bluetooth features, or be able to control the unit with your phone, this is worth the price. If you ever care to do any of the above, bump up to the X80 with Smartcord Live. There are a few X70's that ship with the Smartcord Live, but they are special bundles.

    Solid entry choice in a strong field

    When you graduate from budget detectors (like I did ) you should consider Escort Passport X 70. If you can live with the cord. Good: Bluetooth, App, size accurate and it can be LOUD. Bad: The cord. Summary: My next one is cordless

    Escort X70

    Works well. Range is good. I especially like the Smart Cord to be able to mute the alert quickly. There were some complaints in previous reviews about the display being hard to read. I have a tinted glass roof and have no problem reading the display in its brightest mode.

    This Was My 2nd Unit

    I have been driving with this model for more than three years. I have zero points on my license, knock on wood. This thing give enough advance notice from the front and behind that you can shed at least 15mph without touching the brakes. It has worked so well for me I got one for my dad for Christmas. I got a great deal on it here on ebay. 25% of what I paid for mine. Didn't get the SmartCord but don't use it much anyway. The whole BT phone end of it doesn't work very well but I don't fool with all that anyway.
