    Great for swimming, but....

    I purchased this product thinking I would be able to run and swim in it. Boy was I incorrect. Although the heart monitor itself works excellently, it does not have all of the characteristics of the running version of the Garmin heart rate monitors. The running dynamics are absent since it's just for swimming, and if you try to run with it, it will slide off of your body as your run progresses. Excellent for swimming, so if you are a swimmer and looking to get all of your dynamics logged in, this is the right heart rate monitor for you.

    Works but not comfortable

    The regular Garmin strap is significantly more comfortable. This has a small elastic area which isn’t enough to accommodate my movement. I am using this for my bike, and I know this is their waterproof version. I will be switching back to the other version.

    COSTLY and over priced

    Should be 50% less in price because of how easy it is to wear down and break at the connection point , must be washed after each swim with cold water or it will fade and break . I only use it because its the only strap available for my Garmin 920

    Good for pool

    This is a great tool for analyzing your swim post workout. Can also be used to check heart rate between intervals. Stays in place and is fairly comfortable.
