    Half the price of new, same quality and space.

    I ordered 4 identical HGST 4TB SATA 3.5 HDDs for some lab testing in a Synology DS920+. The newer Synology's do S.M.A.R.T scans on the drives and I have not seen any errors. As well as my lab testing of hosting VMs and SMB folder shares has been perfect with no issues.

    Backup Drive

    Transferred about 2.5GB for backup on it and had no problems. Seems to be working fine, easy to install and setup. Using this for system/data backup and stored remotely in a fire proof box and only update about twice a month so it should last awhile
