    Excellent device.

    This compact digital converter does a good job. The video link included in the instructions made it east to understand and set up. I did need to call technical support for advice on how to find the download in my computer. My Vista program used to open a window for download. My new Windows 8 stores it in a document 'coach' file which needs to be shifted to a new folder. I'm pleased with my purchase, converting 35 mm negatives to good JPG images.

    Don't waste your money

    Slide scanning. Easy to use but horrible picture quality. Bright areas in a picture are overblown, dark areas are almost black, there are no shadows, no matter how I adjusted the settings. It's extremely difficult adjusting the color, after spending an hour playing with RGB sliders the pictures have either red or green hue... it's a guessing game. I'd rather spend more money on a product that scans slides the way they look. The attached pictures are already corrected in Light Room.

    Very Easy to Use

    I used this for 35mm and 110 negatives without issues. Also used it for some really old and bizarre formats. Brought back to live negatives that were over 60 years old. The focal window is only about 35mmX35mm. Larger negatives and slides just won't fit. A great device to bring back really old memories. Very fun for family gatherings, and meeting with friends. Easy to use and in 30 minutes, I felt like a pro!

    Great slide converter

    I use this only for slides. This set up in only a minute or two. With a little guidance from the manual and you-tube videos i had 40 slides converted to a folder on my laptop in half an hour. Compare that to bringing 10 slides to a photo dept having them converted to a cd, that took 2 weeks and cost $14.00. Anyway back to the 1000 or so slides to go through.

    Improved version

    Used an original 1.3 mp F2D to convert some slides a few years ago. Worked OK but darker slides lost much detail and color. This new (20 mp?) yellow version has an exposure control that helps some to lighten darker slides. It also converts 110 slides to full size and the slide feed method is improved. The greater resolution and the corresponding larger file size on the new model is probably unnecessary for most images displayed on a pc monitor though, and there is no way to reduce it other than post-processing with 3rd party image editing software. Overall the new model works very well for slide conversion, especially if you have lots of slides to convert. Much faster and easier than a flatbed scanner.
