Continuing Education
This is another in Dolphina's 'Goddess Workout' bellydance instruction series. She has an easy, accessable style of teaching, which makes it easy to learn the basics as well as advanced dance techniques. As always she starts with a warm up; good for ANY exercise routine, before getting into the actual veil moves. Her explanations and demonstrations are easy to follow and understand for almost anyone of any age. She's an encouraging instructor whose demeanor is meant to build confidence in the student no matter the age or experience level. Since this is part of a SERIES it is best viewed after seeing the previous entries, unless you are already an experienced dancer who's just looking for a few pointers or new moves for their routine. If you're new to dance, starting with veil work is kind of like trying to run before learning to walk, or watching a movie starting in the middle. You kind of lose the basics. As always she ends with a cool down period, another good habit for exercisers. If there's anything I can point to as being negative in this it's that at @25 minutes, it's a bit short for my liking. She covers basic veil techniques but I think she could have done more to flesh out the video. I would have liked to have seen expansion of techniques, possibly short routines, more combinations. I think it could have easily been expanded to an hour without running out of things to say or do with a veil. I still recommend it to anyone studying belly dance since Dolphina is an excellent instructor. She knows her subject well and, what is more, is able to convey what she knows to the student. Something that not all teachers can do well.

Goddess Workout: Bellydance With Veils (2003, DVD)
I decidec to buy it because I was looking for some belly dance DVD's, and thought I would try this one. I don't like the fact that Dolphina just starts dancing, and gives almost little to no instruction along the way. This might be okay for someone who has some basic knowledge about belly dance, but for a novice, it is a little over my head.

Amazing upper body workout! My arms are still feelin the burn! lol
This is her single DVD that teaches the art of the Veil. Awesome upper body workout, and she is very clear on the lessons. Add a 6 foot dance veil for a little added strength training and you will really feel it the next day! If you wish to learn Cymbals to add to your dance routine, either get this dvd Plus the Cymbal dvd, or buy the Vell and Cymbal dvd combo.

goddess workout/ Bellydance with veils
I got the Goddess workout DVD about 2 weeks ago and enjoy it tremendously. I noticed a great deal of difference in my arm strength after one workout. The only thing i disliked was that the music was not what i expected to go along with it. Overall i would recommend this dvd to anyone.

goddess workout
I needed beginning instruction on veil work and this was very helpful. The only thing that could make it better is another hour of instruction but I am very happy with it.
