Stone is not synthetic topaz. It is CZ. But I expected that it would not be synthetic topaz; I thought it might be synthetic spinel, but it tested as CZ by: RI over limit, single refractive, black dot viewed through stone becomes a black circle, and the surface of the girdle looks like plastic - all tells for CZ. But the stone was cheap and I had fun.
