By June 1942, Britain had reached her lowest ebb. Her military command was in tatters, her armies beaten, and in the Middle East it seemed all might be lost. Strong PVC packaging was used but unfortunately there was a hole in the bag and damage to the book cover as a result (minor) which may have been averted by a layer of bubble wrap or cardboard packaging on this heavy hardback book with sharp corners.
