  • Fits in your packpack, carry all of them in your camper/RV.

This book has pictures and short explanations of each animal. It is extremely easy to use and will never be out of date. This book has enough information to start your research on a particular animal....Children can begin to learn how to research by finding familiar animals like squirrels in this book. Highly recommend these Audubon books. I carry many of them in my RV...so small and yet filled with pictures and information.

  • Essential guide for shroom hunters

Like all the Audobon guides, this one should be considered essential basic equipment for field hunting. Includes full color photographs, descriptions, and edibility/poison rating. It is a good size to carry in a large pocket, backpack, or bag, with the standard Audubon westher resistant, flexible cover. If I could change one thing, it would be the organization of information - I would put the text on the same page with the pictures, instead of a seperate section. Still, it is the one reference you should should have, if you are only going to have one.

  • Good reference book

    A good reference book.
