    A unique author to read

    If you are familiar with Erdrich's style, characters and zany plots you will enjoy this book. She has a way of weaving individuals and their personal differences into a bigger "picture" made of many short stories that inter-relate.

    a good surprise

    I got this as a gift from a friend and put off reading it for a month because I didn't think it was my "type". I was wrong! Admittedly, I had a difficult time with the language at first; however, the more I read, the more I loved it! This is a very involved story line with lots of intertwining characters, but well worth the read. I loaned my copy to a friend and he liked it so much, he never gave it back!

    Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse

    The story starts out slow but develops well after the flood and ends is great style. Set on the Northern plains it spans the last 100yrs and may me ponder what we've gained and lost.
