  • An Inspiring Story

Like I explained in my description of the book when I was selling it: I had no huge expectations for the book, but after I read it I was blown away. Brooke's honesty in her writing about post-partum depression is what I believe so many women feel, but cannot or won't articulate. I believe that she wrote the book to help other women and to have them realize that they should get quick medical attention AND keep with treatment until they feel better. It's a very inspiring, heartfelt story and I really enjoyed it.

  • It's just Ok

I liked and could relate to the first 2 chapters, after that I was so sick of hearing about her "A" list life! I appreciate that she has been open about talking about her depression, it makes it easier for some of us to garner some understanding from the community, husbands, or doctors. But very little was actually about her depression after a few chapters. I would recommend "Inconsolable, How I Threw My Mental Health Out with the Diapers" By Marrit Ingman. I h.as been a more realistic book for me.

  • Excellent.

I got this book at 1 and finished it at 7. It was an excellent read. I am not really a fan of Brooke's and have not suffered from PPD, but was interested in hearing what she had to say. She can thank Tom Cruise for my interest. He should only be so eloquent in speaking as she is in her writing. This would probably be a big help to others suffering from depression of any kind. She gives hope that there is a way back to "normal".

  • good title.

i wanted to buy this because i had had such a bad depression after the birth of my child, and i didn't understand it and neither did anyone else. that was over 40 yrs ago,and i admired brook s. for sharing her experience with the world.i had felt ashamed and guilty and wholly inadequate. shame has colored my world since. i identified with the problem, and glory in brook.s's ability to discuss it openly, which i believe will help other young girls/women ,not have to live in shame the rest of their lives.

  • down came the rain

I would have to say this audio book is awesome I loved all of the book and felt like i was brought into a world of new thoughts I would highly recomend this book if you suffer from any sort of illness
